President and CEO
Mr. King has over 30 years of engineering and project management experience directing, supervising and reviewing multi-million dollar projects for both commercial and industrial clients. He has directed projects for the General Services Administration, University System of Georgia, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Houston Airport System, Denver Regional Transportation District, BlueCross BlueShield and Southern Company, and Georgia Power in addition to various other clients. He has considerable experience in HVAC design, steam distribution systems, heavy equipment and power generation design and the design/analysis of fossil utility boilers. He has extensive experience and authored techniques using finite element analysis in solving flow-induced vibration problems in nuclear steam generators.
As President and CEO of S. L. King & Associates, Inc., Mr. King directs the operation of the company and monitors the adherence to the company’s quality control and quality assurance procedures. Mr. King is a registered Mechanical Engineer in the states of Georgia, Ohio, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University as well as a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron.
Mr. King is not only the head of a rising corporation, he is very socially and civic-minded, which is demonstrated by his involvement and dedication to his church and its ministry as well as numerous professional and civic organizations, where he serves as a director and/or member. He is a member of the President’s Leadership Council and the Energy and Environment Council at Drexel University, where he also serves as an Advisor to the School of Engineering. Mr. King is a former Advisor to the National Ombudsman for the SBA Regulatory Fairness Board. These affiliations provide him with a well-rounded perspective in the field of Engineering and leadership, and offer him an opportunity to mentor and support others in their growth and development.
